Arran is situated off the west coast of Scotland and is easily accessed by frequent ferry services. The main ferry route is from Ardrossan to Brodick (50 minute sailing), with a smaller ferry operating from Claonaig to Lochranza.

Bracklinn House is situated within the village of Blackwaterfoot, on the southwest coast of Arran – ½ hour bus journey from the ferry terminal at Brodick.
